Invitation to a WAHES GDHR Sexuality Education Twilight Seminar - Wed 31 Aug 2011

In June 2011 a free resource Talk Soon. Talk Often. A guide for parents talking to their kids about sex was launched by WA Health. The release has been widely covered by the media including the 7PM Project, Sunrise and the Sunday Times as well other national newspapers and has created much controversy and discussion.

Join other concerned and interested educators for a unique opportunity to hear:

  • the facts about the research undertaken by La Trobe University that informed the development of the resource
  • what is really in the 70 page book and not only what is covered in a 16 sentence media report
  • the perspectives of a principal, a teacher, a parent and the education system concerning school based sexuality education
  • answers to your questions (so come prepared with your questions for the panel)
