Who is WA Health Education Services?

As training consultants, we have broad experience in education and health teaching at all levels and sectors of education and corporate organisations. We have a well established reputation within the WA school health education and health promotion arena having extensive experience in:

  • Resilience and drug education
  • Sexuality / relationships education
  • Corporate consultation and training in alcohol and other drug use issues

Working in partnership with your organisation WA Health Education Services provides an innovative approach to education to address your specific health and wellbeing needs. We work hard at listening to your needs so that we can tailor sessions to best suit the outcomes you want to achieve.

Our Staff

Jo has a rich and diverse background in education, corporate events management and publishing. Jo has more than 10 years experience in directing a small company, 18 years experience in publishing and over 30 years in events management. She is a dynamic and creative team leader and has a “can do” approach to any challenge.

Sue is an experienced educator of over 20 years specialising in education for health and wellbeing.  Sue has taught at schools in metropolitan and rural WA, and lectured at TAFEs and universities. She has presented seminars and workshops to a variety of professional and community audiences including police officers, teachers, nurses, apprentices, managers and volunteer organisations such as Rotary International, Scouts WA and Guides Australia. She has presented papers and workshops at state, national and international conferences.

Sue holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion, a Bachelor of Education, and is currently completing a Master of Health Promotion at Curtin University.

Sophia Gillies - Education & Training Consultant - sophia@wahealtheducation.com.au

Sophia has 16 years working in the field of education, health and wellbeing. Sophia has delivered health and wellbeing workshops to a variety of audiences including primary and secondary school students, teachers, police officers, youth at educational risk, university students as well as company managers.

Sophia holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Education.

Michelle has more that 14 years experience specialising in education for health and wellbeing. Michelle has presented workshops to a diverse range of groups including, primary & secondary school students, teachers, police officers, university students, company managers and a variety of volunteer organisations including church youth groups and Rotary International Clubs.

Michelle holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion, a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Arts.
