Issues
The 2004 National Drug Strategy Household Survey of Australians aged 14 years and over reported that 4.4% of people said they went to work while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs in the previous 12 months. Males (6.7%) were more likely than females (2.1%) to do so.
Alcohol and other drug related use can occur in any workplace. Up to 15% of all workplace accidents may be associated with alcohol use and at least 5% of all workplace deaths are associated with alcohol use. The impact of alcohol and/or other drug misuse is not limited to the user, but can also cause problems for employers as well as colleagues and families.
Working in partnership with your organisation WA Health Education Services can design dynamic and interactive sessions that will meet your specific alcohol and other drug information requirements.
